10th Anniversary Celebration

Tomorrow is Legacy's 10th Anniversary Celebration!  Please join us at school from 1-4 to celebrate 10 years of Legacy excellence!

The Value of Reading

It's National Reading Day!  Please remember to read to and with your child every day.  Every child is participating in the Take-Home Reading Program.  Please spend time each night reading these books with your child.  It is also important to read aloud to them.  Enjoy this valuable time!

Important Dates

There is no school on Monday, January 19.  It is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
To compensate, the kids will be at school all day on Friday, January 23.

The Book Fair will be open in the library January 26-29.

Many of you have been notified of parent teacher conferences at the end of January.  I will be scheduling conferences after I return to school.  I hope to meet with parents the first week of February. Stay tuned.

Classroom News

Welcome back!  I am happy to have the children back at school!  It's wonderful to see their smiling faces!

Today I have spoken to the kids about a change in our classroom.  I am scheduled to have surgery tomorrow.  The recovery from this surgery will prevent me from returning to school through the month of January.  Mrs. Smith will be in our classroom while I am gone.  I will be in contact with Mrs. Smith and will continue to update the blog with important information.

If you have any questions, feel free to send me an email.  I will continue to check email for messages.

Thank you!
